Certification Requirements
PRACTICUM
Those working toward Teacher Certification will offer a series of Soul Motion–inspired classes in their own communities. As part of an active mentoring program, candidates for certification will be witnessed and offered feedback by Zuza and Michael as they lead practice classes with their fellow trainee group and/or the invited public when possible.
ASSESSMENT
If you’re working toward certification, you will be expected to fulfill all program requirements. These include having completed all prerequisites, timely and successful completion of all assignments, and full attendance and active participation at all in-person modules and most zoom calls. In addition, teachers-in-training will have completed their Practicum and demonstrated a comfortable degree of embodiment of the practice of Soul Motion (physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual). Zuza and Michael will support all participants in developing skills and qualities required for certification.
DESIRED COMPETENCIES
A partial list of core competencies we are looking for in certified Soul Motion teachers follows below. These are among the skills taught in the program, but the foundations for many of them are best laid through intensive and long-term immersion in the practice in classes and workshops with authorized Soul Motion teachers.
Candidates for certification will demonstrate:
– facility in their own Soul Motion practice (ability to move across and between the landscapes);
– ability to articulate, demonstrate, and embody primary tenets of Soul Motion (Pause Presence, Orbit Orientation, and Echo Inspiration);
– capacity to co-create an atmosphere of inquiry, inclusion, and relaxation;
– confidence in speaking to a group (if this is a concern, we encourage voice training along with this program);
– interest and skill in working with music.
Those who have successfully completed all requirements and received a positive evaluation from Zuza & Michael will be invited to teach Soul Motion and able to use the Soul Motion name in the titles of their classes and workshops and in all advertising.
Zuza and Michael will support all participants in developing skills and qualities required for certification or when needed, offer guidance about next steps for continuing their development toward certification.
Application
Please note that we do not expect everyone who applies to be selected to participate, even if they have fulfilled all prerequisites. There are many factors that determine one’s readiness for this intensive and demanding program. Each application will be considered at the discretion of the program faculty. Feel free to inquire whether you are qualified to apply.
The first application deadline is March 1.
We will review all completed applications and respond within ten days.
Payment
The fee for the 2027-2028 training is $8,850 in full | $9,450 with a payment plan.
We accept credit cards and all other methods of payment.
Participants are responsible for travel costs and room and board fees for the residential module.
Please note that this is a limited enrollment course requiring full commitment from those chosen to participate. Participants commit financially to the entire program whether or not they will be able to complete it, that is regardless of future changes in their circumstances or a need to withdraw. Please consider this prior to applying and claiming one of the spaces in the program.
Once accepted to the program, an initial payment of $2,500 is due within two weeks.

Upon acceptance, in order to complete your registration, you will be sent a contract specifying the terms of this commitment for your signature.
